NFP’s Toosheh technology helped one individual to gain the skills he needed to establish a business. Before being introduced to Toosheh, this individual was hoping to marry but did not have the income to make this dream a reality. After studying the educational content packages delivered to him through the Toosheh satellite channel, he was able to receive adequate skills training to start a business and generate income. He is now married and happily running his business.

In Oaxaca, Mexico, NFP helped rural schools connect to critical educational material via the Knapsack Content Station. A community once cut off from internet access that could greatly enhance education can realize new opportunities and learn new skills that lead to a brighter future. When one young student was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he responded “Teacher.” He was then asked what he thought he would need to teach. Before listing the usual practical classroom items, he said matter of factly, “Internet.” NFP’s technology not only provides necessary material to bridge the digital divide but it also helps the students dream of their future.
